We’re looking for great people who understand the magic of supplying local shops with a product that moves. 

The largest gift store in downtown Portland carries 160 different candle scents. For the last 2 years, we've had their top 5 selling candles. People love our subtle scents, clean burn, and for-a-cause ethos. When our candles are presented well, they sell.

When we first started Little Cow, we weren't thinking about supplying stores. We were crafting candles for candle lovers. But now, partnering with stores has become one of our favorite parts of the business. We help our local shops thrive – we love that! 

The Little Cow Rep Program is built for self-motivated, independent operators, who enjoy working with local businesses and want their pay to increase along with their effort.

How it works:

1. Tell us a little bit about you (below) and make a very clear request for the territory you’d like to claim. For example: 90 minutes driving distance from this point on google maps. Or, these 3 small towns.  We cannot commit to unreasonably large territories like 3 major cities, or entire states (except for Rhode Island :)

2. Once your territory is confirmed, we'll send you a link to order a double-refundable $200 Rep kit which includes: 4 jars, 12 tins, product catalogues, sales guide, and access to our evolving sales notes. 

3. We’ll set you up with your own portal for submitting orders and automatically tracking your sales and earnings – and you’re off! 

Progression:

0-10k in sales= 15% commission

  • 1k in sales = $200 Full Rep kit Refund
  • 3k in sales = $100 Part 1 Double Refund
  • 5k in sales = $100 Part 2 Double Refund

10-20k in sales = 16% commission

20-30k in sales = 17% commission

30-40k in sales = 18% commission

40-50k in sales = 19% commission

50k+  = 20% commission

Commission percentages reset annually.

Why do you charge for the Rep Kit?

In short, it helps us find the right people. The right people know that our candles connect with customers. They understand that we can't send out free batches of candles to people we don't know. And they're confident that when they hit the streets they'll earn even more with a double refund. We love sending out double refunds.

How does pay work?

Pay is sent out each quarter via check or ACH transfer. (We’re happy to pay monthly for high volume sales) 

Are there sales minimums?

Yes. For the first year, you should lock in 1k in sales within the first 3 months, and you should grow sales by $100+ per quarter. If these minimums are not met, the territory may be reopened to other reps. We will review your plan with you each year.

What happens if I need new / more samples?

If we create a new product, we will send it to you for free. Otherwise, each year reps receive a $200 gift card to use / replenish samples as you see fit.
