Voluntary Recall - Jar Candles

To Our Valued Customers,

It has come to our attention that some jars in our most recent batch have shattered when burned fully down, creating a fire and laceration safety risk. Out of an abundance of caution, we are ceasing all jar sales and issuing a voluntary safety recall of any jar shipped between December 4th, 2025, and January 6th, 2026.

Please stop burning your candle immediately. We have used the same glass supplier for 2.5 years with zero issues until now, and we are currently in communication with them to ensure this is fully resolved before resuming sales.

We deeply regret this inconvenience and recognize that many of these jars were purchased as gifts. As a small business, we pride ourselves on creating an amazing candle experience and are saddened to make this recall, let alone during the holiday season.

To Receive a Full Refund: Please permanently disable the candle to ensure it cannot be used. Please do not attempt to break the glass yourself, as this poses a cut hazard. Instead, please follow these steps:

  1. Mark the Jar: Use a permanent marker to draw a large "X" on the glass container.
  2. Cut the Wicks: Use scissors to cut the wicks as short as possible so the candle cannot be relit.
  3. Send a Photo: Send an email to orders@littlecowco.com with a clear photo of your marked jar and cut wicks.

Once we receive this photo, we will promptly process your 100% refund. Your refund will be issued based on the original place of purchase. If you purchased the candle directly from our online store, your refund will be credited back to the same credit card used at checkout. If you purchased the candle from a retail store, your refund will be issued either by paper check or via PayPal. Our team will contact you if any additional information is needed to process your refund.

Thank you for helping us ensure the safety of our customers.
